PURPOSE

Among, the general principles of critical care nursing, Effective Interprofessional / Interprofessional communication and early identification of patient problems are integral to the success of team dynamic activities in the patient care delivery process (McGloin & Skull, 2022). These principles guide the care delivery process to ensure a seamless patient care activity. For example, early identification of the patient ailing problems served by competent medical staff Pathological alterations scientific knowledge, experiential knowledge, and comprehensive patient health assessment and assessment served by scientific knowledge or of the various pathological alterations is crucial to the effective presentation of the patient’s condition during handover as from the rapid response teams(RRTs) to the Accident and emergency nurses in the AED department.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Our website discusses the while practicing in the AED, the nursing care must be thorough, and it’s only possible when supported by an immediate comprehensive nurse-led health assessment without a wait for the medical review. For example, suppose I opened the dressings in this case, I could have ascertained that It was a colostomy case and shared the observation kindly with the ambulance-staff, saving her from the latter on public embarrassment that befell her—conducting a nurse-led comprehensive health assessment rather than a general assessment only of patients presented in the  AED department since the nursing staff receives the patients on handover from the Ambulance staff without exercising care limitations in waiting for the medical review at first. The patient’s situation stabilized through our timely nurse-led interventions, patient safety maintenance, vitals check, ECG monitoring, continuation of rehydration therapy, and administration of prophylactic antibiotics and analgesics. Hence, it was significant for timely and coordinated evidence-based intervention response from AED nurses to prevent possible complications based on the presenting patient’s condition.

Moreover, on the conduct of the team lead nurse, I draw a sense of exercising professional discipline concerning the choice of appropriate language and avoiding using vulgar words and derogatory statements due to their demoralizing impact on the suffering parties. Hence, a purpose obliges to the nursing code of ethics prescriptions on dignity, integrity, mutual respect, and embrace of mentorship culture in the clinical area. However, going by the actions of the rapid response ambulance staff, I draw on ensuring that I have factual knowledge about the patient case on presentation of serious matters owing to the possible consequences that any of such information or misinformation might impact the quality of care, patient safety or professional competence regards on the health practitioner.
